You may be under the impression that the only kinds of foods to eat for low carbohydrate diet plans are meats and a few vegetables. Now, if you are like most health conscious people, you know that following a diet of only meat and vegetables cannot be good for you, no matter how much weight you can lose. That is why you should follow a diet menu that is full of vegetables, good carbs, low fat dairy products, and a smaller amount of protein for each meal. A menu following these principles might look like this:
Breakfast:
Egg white omelet full of your favorite vegetables with a sprinkle of low-fat cheese and a serving of sugar-free, low fat yogurt.
Lunch:
Turkey roll-up (made with turkey deli meat, low fat cheese rolled up into two large lettuce leaves); your favorite low carb canned soup and a serving of cottage cheese.
Dinner
1 chicken breast cooked and chopped wrapped in a low carb tortilla and topped with low-fat cheddar cheese, lettuce, salsa and sour cream; a small serving of corn and a side of low carbohydrate refried beans.
